| INSG: Nickel demand for 2010 to increase
The International Nickel Study Group (INSG) indicated that 2009's global nickel demand would shrink by 6 percent to 121 million tons, compared with last year's level of 129 million tons.
The group also predicted that nickel demand would go up again in 2010 to 135 million tons on stainless market recovery.
The global nickel output in 2009 is about 128 million tons, with 70,000 tons oversupply; while the estimated output of 2010 may grow to 144 million tons, with climbed oversupply of 90,000 tons.
